These are the high seas adventures of Captain Myles Latham and his love affair with the ocean and deep pride in his previously praiseworthy British Naval career.

Now, as a privateer, Myles has another love affair, one he must keep to himself while he battles pirates, jealous adversaries, the winds and the turbulence below his ship's keel. Times are difficult for him when dealing with the bustling slave trade in the Caribbean and New World in 1710.

His ship, the "Tempest", carries him and the crew along many currents. They encounter storms, sickness, death and tragedy without backing down or turning away.

Come aboard, hoist the anchor and man all the canvas. Let 'er run afore the wind! The voyage has just begun.
